Hi Guys
Anyone else using KISS with one of Josef's printers? Would be interesting to see your config files.
I am running a Mk1 and a Mk2 with the 4 filament upgrade and slicing exclusively with KISS with excellent results; primarily printing with PLA.

Hi Marius
Here are my current settings. Please be aware that because of the MM testing, the settings have been changed from simple Mk2 values so you will have to adjust to your needs.

Thank you so much, I'll have a look and test!
So yeah, I don't have Multi Material yet, but I'll be happy to test your settings once Josef clears MM for general consumption.
Would you say it'd be safe to copy and paste "prusa edition" slic3r's start and end gcode into kisslicer's pre and post gcode to have it behave similarly?

Marius
Apologies, I don't visit here very often with the Prusa forum to advise on and the testing I am doing.
There should be no need to use the Slic3r start/end GCode if you select the correct printer in my settings file. The main difference is filament retraction settings (increased from 0.8 to 3 or 4mm on MM).

My first variable layer height multi-filament print:
Not great quality, but the tower is more important than the model at the moment.

For anyone interested and running on Windows 64-bit, I have put together a package including the following:
KISSlicer (Current latest beta, but worth checking if there is a later version)
Prusa Mk2/S MM starter profile with PLA of varying opacity
Post-Processor
Sample sliced model (2C Marvin E1&2)
Package can be downloaded here: ftp://PrusaUser:resUasurP@ftp.rumble.si/

Re: Prusa i3 "Original" Mk1/Mk2/Multimaterial
Hi!
I'm starting to get pretty interested in KISS since the RC1 is out and I'd like to use it for my Prusa i3 MK2S.
Is it possible to find the precise drive length of the printer in the official Prusa3d documentation (I haven't found it on my side) or do I have to measure it myself?

Simply auto-home, measure from the bed to the drive pulley and subtract 1mm.LaPointe wrote:Hi!

Nice idea, thanks!
I will try to do this tonight or at least this week and will report back my measurement here.
