Can someone explain me how exactly these 2 options work?

Bottom and top stepover settings

Bottom stepover is the maximum amount of overhang (in percentage of extrusion width) when the model is expanding out.
Top stepover is the same, but when the model is getting smaller.
The layer height will be adjusted to get as close to these values as possible, but is limited by the (minimum) Layer Thickness and Max Layer Thickness settings (Layer Control setting).
In the latest version(s), the First Layer setting is a fixed value. Not sure if the ToolTips user the term "overhang" - if not it has been changed to this on the next release (I am using 23.07 rc).
