Weird graphics problem on Mac

Hey all, this just started happening to me on my Mac. No idea what's going on. It was working fine a day or two ago, now this. This happens on 1.10 (which is what this video is of) as well as the most recent beta. I know there probably aren't a ton of mac users here, but any thoughts would be appreciated.

Here's the video that describes the problem: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/549221/kiss.mov

Thanks!

I've not seen that before. Did you reboot and try again? Looks like something bad going on with the video driver memory (corruption, bad memory, etc).

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I've rebooted, tried shutting down, reset NVRAM, reset SMC...everything I can think of. :(

Can Mac's OpenGL Profiler trace / debug any random OpenGL app? If so, it would be awesome if you could see what errors it flags. Hopefully it is something simple! Unfortunately I am not getting any errors on my really old Mac Mini.

I will put some more effort into it this weekend. The odd thing is this has been working for some time. I don't know if a Yosemite patch caused it or if I'm having a hardware failure of some sort.

my MacBook Pro early 2011 17" (I wish apple would give their products model numbers) doesn't have this problem. Running 10.10, KS 1.5 beta 2.20. but I have seen garbage on the screen in other apps since switching to 10.10. also another person I know with a newer MBP also has video garbage since 10.10. and knowing how apple now more often releases shoddy hardware and software, I'd suspect it's 10.10.

This has been consistently happening for me over several Macs and many releases of Kisslicer. I believe it has something to do with the FLTK library that Kisslicer uses for Mac support but the issue doesn't seem to be a high priority.

I had the same problem. I even run the Apple Hardware Test and, to my surprise, I found a failure somewhere in the memory, like Error 4MEM/9/40000000:0x877cc118, and so on. Then I run the Rember, and also got some memory problems. Well, I was decided to change my memory cards (I have on my iMac 12Gb RAM), but I decided to click on Preferences>File Handling>Preview on Open STL, since the check mark was not there. To my surprise, even clicking there, the check mark does not shows up, but now the main screen shows the models with no problem whatsoever, albeit in some of them I get a weird message, like WARNING: Slicing may use up to 6242078.5 MG ('RAM Warning"is set at 6144.0 MB, system has 12288.0 RAM) . Well, I guess this is just impossible, since the model is not that big. I have to investigate what is going on. However, the main problem was solved. Please try this and let us know.
