Zig-zag filling puts out too much compared to solid, infill

I'm using the latest Mac build of KISSlicer + CubeItMod49
I have the flow and fill rates set where it extrudes perimeter, infill, solid very well.
However, when it fills small areas by zig-zagging quickly, it extrudes way too much material.
It ends up creating blobs instead of a continuous line.
what parameter controls the flow rate for this operation?

Hi,

I think "Stacked Sparse infill" and "Sparse infill" patch flow rate are linked.
guess i have detected than kisslicer give (much) more M108 rpm for "Sparse infill" patch than for "Stacked Sparse infill" patch or it slow down nozzle speed with the same M108 rpm.
The result is a material overflow.
The only way i had find is to tweak the M108 rpm value for this patch or configuring kisslicer to avoid the generation of this patch except for horizontal surfaces, because it maybe not possible to avoid generation of this patch for horizontal surface :) (increase number of loops or decrease skin thickness).

Your issue is it on horizontal surfaces ?

See on my photos:

On the left M108 rpm is not tweaked.
On the right M108 rpm is tweaked

Yes, horizontal zig-zag fills.
The example shown looks like what I see.
Are you manually changing the M108 values?
Would stacked fill setting control this?

==>> I asked a fellow programmer to modify CubeItmod49. This version is still in testing but seems to work, I could send you the file .au3

Would stacked fill setting control this?
==>> Both "Stacked Sparse infill" and "Sparse Infill" are "controlled" by infill extrusion width and infill% of CubeItmod

Hi Peter,

Do you solve your problem ?
I think it's due to the M227/228 setup, can you post them ?
I get really clean "zigzag" with a new M227/228 setup, the M228P was the cause for me.

I just got back into printing.
Here are the settings I'm using:

I've run out of my spool of MatterHacker - I'll be using a spool of Protoparadigm PLA.
I was seeing the issue using both vendors.
I'll update the thread as my print goes if it still has issues.

** Update **
The latest beta of KISSlicer (Sept 3, 2014) must have changed something.
The zig-zag infill is extruding the proper amount of filament.
The infill, solid fill, perimeter fill all look good.
The print looks great so far.
