Large Nozzle Extrusion Problems

Is this on the list to check? Has anyone else experienced this with large nozzles and layer heights?

I have built a new printer which is dedicated to larger objects with E3D Volcano and large nozzles. Using a 1mm nozzle with PETG @ 1.2mm extrusion width and 0.6 to 0.8 layer heights I am finding that solid infill is over extruded 5 to 10%. If I adjust for the solid infill to be correct the loops and perimeters are under extruded. I have made sure it is not a speed related problem by setting all loop, solid, etc speeds the same. Also have tried with and without Duet non linear extrusion applied. I did not notice this with my other printer with 0.4 or 0.6 nozzles with the same filament, however now that I check upon examination with magnifying glasses it does appear I am setting extrusion multiplier with the smaller nozzle machine to a balance where one is a hair over and the other a hair under extruded. With the larger nozzle it is a problem due to the large amounts of plastic it is extruding and I can't find a balance where after several solid layers it doesn't start building up but yet perimeters and loops are acceptable.

Any chance you could upload the G-code for me to have a look please?

Thanks

Here is one.

(funny that extension gcode isn't allowed)

Thanks, I will have a look.

Only Image and Zip files are allowed, which is the same as other forums I use.

Well, I spent a little while examining the solid paths on the first layer.

For whatever reason, the first layer is being printed at Z=0.558 and the extrusion width for one path is 1.0146mm. But you do have flow tweak set to 0.9, and therefore a flow tweak value of 1 should produce an extrusion of 1.127mm - still not the "expected" 1.2mm.

However, you have X and Y shrink values of 1% and I wonder if this is throwing the figures?

It doesn't look right. Can I please ask you to re-slice the model with flow tweak set to 1 and the shrink values set to 0 and upload the result?

Thanks.

Loaded the last project for that file, but not sure some settings wern't changed so here is 4 files. 1 with 0.9 flow & 1 XY shrink, 1 with 1 flow & 1 XY shrink, 1 with 1 flow & 0 XY shrink, 1 with 0.9 flow & 0 XY shrink just to cover the bases.

Checked out for what?
Will you fix the issue if you "check it out"?

alpha_2.0.6

Problem with generated language .pot file : not open by poedit.

manual fix (drop first and last line, convert to unix LF) :
tail -n+2 ./KISSlicer_language.pot |tail -r | tail -n +1 | tail -r | dos2unix >2.po

and additional manual edit with replace 0x0BA and 0x0C2 (not all)

P.S. alpha 1.6.3 - not have the bug
