extruding PVA on my dual head printer

Post by MLWorx »

Hi,

I'm using 1.4.5.10 on my Mac and want to print PVA on extruder #2 as a support material.

Can I set the speed for my second extruder to a lower value than first extruder? As far as I know (at least I haven't found the box) it's not possible. :?
(Can I do that via the <MATL> token and if yes how!?)

Under Printers -> Extruder Hardware, the Gain setting is sort of a 'gross setting' for the filament.
Then, under the Material tab, adjust the Flow Tweak (in the Flow Adjust box) to fine-tune it. I have found that different colors and different filament vendors will require adjustments to the flow settings (a good argument for finding a filament vendor you are happy with and sticking with them).

ADJUST IN VERY SMALL INCREMENTS!!

Hmm, thanks.
I would want to adjust the extrusion speed of both extruders seperately - e.g.: 60mm/s for PLA on my extruder #1 and 15mm/s ( or 25% of my normal speed) for PVA on my extruder #2

Edit: I know that I can adjust speed by setting "Solid infill support" but it does affect the support paths AND the solid infill paths of my extruder #1 too!
