Hello,
Would it be possible to have a skirt greater than the single width.
One is not quite enough on the smaller models, an ability to have more than the single skirt would be very nice and would let me make sure that I have got a nice clean extrusion happening. I don't really want a raft that requires some sanding to remove.
Skirt plus one to five would be great....

Re: Skirt with more than 1
Doesn't the brim go right up to item thereby requiring some sanding to remove?
Not looking for prime pillar either.
I just want to be able to select more that the single width skirt and maybe put 3 or 4 lines down and I would be happy then because it would be flowing properly before the main part starts.

Why not just add a prime to your gcode prefix?
G92 E0.0
G1 E3.0 F300
G92 E0.0
G90
G92 E0.0
G1 E3.0 F300

I would like to add this gcode to prime, can you elaborate more further which of this code can be edited so I can adjust how much I would prime.frozen.rabbit wrote:Why not just add a prime to your gcode prefix?

Hello, i use this code.
G92 E0 ; zero the extruded length
G1 E40 F120 ; extrude 40mm with feedrate 120
G92 E0 ; zero the extruded length
My full prefix code in kisslicer looks like this:
M106 S0 ; Fan off
M104 S170 ; set temp 170
G28 ; home all axes
G1 Z30 F160 ; lift nozzle 30mm with feedrate 160
M109 R<TEMP> ; set temp and wait
G92 E0 ; zero the extruded length
G1 E40 F120 ; extrude 40mm with feedrate 120
G92 E0 ; zero the extruded length
perhaps that helps too

Where are you dumping the extra 40mm of filament you extruded? I'm currently extruding off the side of the bed and skimming off the initial 50 mm prime against the edge of the glass as the extruder travels onto the glass to start printing.

I also prime at the edge off the bed and when the nozzle begins to decline to the glassbed i remove the remains with tweezers from the nozzle.
