The first time I accesed the forum was through Tapatalak, and also let me login with my Gmail account; but when I try to login with my Gmail details through the web (safari on Macbook) didn't recognize my account.

I think that login with Gmail account is not enabled through the web browsers.
Can anyone fix it?

I just did some testing. I created a new account, logged in on the desktop, then on tapatalk, logged out of each and back in. what I found was that I can't now log into the test account on tapatalk but I can on the desktop. not sure why. this sounds like a tapatalk issue. my other accounts work on either with no issues. the account I created uses my gmail address. So there may be some strange conflict with tapatalk, phpBB and gmail accounts. I am not going to be able to diagnose this and its such an outlier... but I would encourage you to report this issue with tapatalk.
