Bottom/Top Thickness vs Wall Thickness

Jonathan, can you please split Skin Thickness into Bottom/Top Thickness and Wall Thickness. Here's an example where the Skin Thickness of 0.5mm works beautifully for the walls of the print to create a workable flexible hand (1st pic), but the top has some holes in it (2nd pic).
If I could make the Bottom/Top Thickness greater than 0.5mm I could get rid of the holes in the top and have a beautiful print. I know this request has been made before, but I though if I showed you examples it could stress the importance in certain situations.
