Bed Temp Control

I am new to printing with a heated bed AND fully enclosed printer.
I was having issues with printing nice clean sharp corners that didn't lift in both ABS and PLA. after a lot of messing about, I came to the conclusion that the bed temp was to high, causing the material to remain too soft. I have since lowered the initial bed temp, but I have now found that after about 3mm of height, if I take the bed temp down by an additional 10 to 15 degrees, the quality of the print improves even more, and I don't lose adhesion. This of course means that I have to babysit or guess when the printer will hit this height.
Does anyone have a method to automatically insert a bed temp step down of say 5 degrees after 3rd layer and then another -10 at Z> 3mm without a post processor?
