misprinting

Post by LTM14 »

L 'STL is right, but in printing the two materials are not aligned, marked by the green arrows. Using care, no problem

look under printer > 'extruder hardware' tab to fix this. there's offsets to tell the slicer where each nozzle is located

I had a similar issue. I had set up the printer as the manual/producer told me to.
So I designed a two-color STL that would enable me to verify. It should not "break" the printer if the alignment was off. (Like, printing two concentric circles shows the misalignment, but if they are off a lot, material is printed twice in the same physical location. not good)

You can measure the offset of the (in the picture) green squares from the gray cross. if they are not the same, you modify the offset in Kisslicer to match. The little dot and square at the two ends is to remember which way x+ and y+ are. It is designed to be printed fast and using only a little material.
