Single Pillar - Both Prime and Wipe?

Post by inventabuild »

Is the Single Pillar in the Support menu supposed to both prime and wipe like Cura does with its Tower or is it just supposed to prime?

Possibly same issue, certainly the same question - with two extruders my system seems to prime the "next" head at the last xy location for the "current" head before moving to the pillar to wipe the "next" head.

That usually means an unexpected dump of filament on the printed part :(

This is kisslicer 1.5 Beta 1.14

When I was using the prime pillar my dual extrusion parts were coming out with the two colors getting mixed together. I'm now using the wall and it does a much better job of keeping the colors separate.

Hi, can you clarify if your system primes the new extruder over the pillar or just wipes it ?
FYI, When I'm using the prime/wipe pillar it actually creates two concentric pillars, one for each extruder.

Could be this is two completely separate issues in which case I'll create my own thread :)

The pillar primed both of my extruders and created two concentric pillars, one for each extruder as you mentioned. The issue I'm having is that my colors get mixed in the print when using the pillar. I switched to skirt to help eliminate the issue although it appears I am still be getting some slight color mixing even w/ the skirt. So perhaps another setting needs to be tweaked or the skirt is still not optimal for wiping the non-working nozzle.
