Not sure about profiles, but I think special thanks to Peter pjr are missing ;-) That may be a minor bug, but fixing it would do a lot of good.

I am having the same issue. When I slice I either get the square of support material or just a fatal crash.

If either XY Gap is set to 0, could you please try setting it to a tiny value like 0.01 and see if that fixes it?

thanks,
Jonathan

You know, that is an excellent point!!
Now I *have* to make a 1.6.1 release.

thanks,
Jonathan

OK, that is great info.

Btw, gap 0 would end up putting support paths everywhere (as seen in the first picture in this post), including right on the edge of some of internal maps, which could cause a memory error in 2 different places. I have fixed those, but now need to look at the "gap crashes when too large" bug.

I will be wrapping up a few of these bug fixes into a 1.6.1 release soon.

thanks,
Jonathan

Hey you know what. The first time I've launched KS 1.6, I opened the help/info tab and noticed that Peter (PJR) wasn't in the special thanks. I really think that his name should also be there. He is always there to help people, not only with kisslicer, but also for 3d printing in general. He learned me a lot of things, he is still learning me so much things, and I wouldn't even know kisslicer if he wouldn't have suggested me to try this awesome slicer. Thank you Peter :D

Thank you for your kind words. Honestly, I am one of those who prefer to be in the background, enjoying myself by trying to help.

However, Jonathan has resolved this...
