Odd positioning 'bug'

I have come across an oddity in the way KISSlicer positions objects. I was trying to position three cubes to allow me to calibrate the XY offsets of my dual extruder printer (CUBEX DUO).
If I put in one cube, it is centered correctly.

If I add a second cube, the two are aligned in a vertical line

If I add a third cube, it is added to one side of the previous two, but not in line with either of the other two.

If I add a fourth cube, it gets pushed off further to the side, presumably because of the position of the third cube. Normally one would expect a nice 2x2 array.

It is not a big problem, but it does not seem like the way the positioning was meant to behave.
Attached some screenshots, in the wrong order I think but you get the idea...
