Wipe Speed > Print Speed?

Post by inventabuild »

This could be a terrible idea, but I thought I'd throw it out there in case it might have some merit or someone can think of a good variation.
1. Will it help mitigate stringing, make it worse or do nothing other than marginally shorten print time?
2. How badly will it effect the print quality of the seam area vs any benefits it may offer?
3. Wipe traveling forward vs reverse?
4. Wipe turning inward (when more than one loop) instead of just traveling directly over start of loop?

Some of these things like #4 (Depth setting in Style tab) KISSlicer might already do to some extent and if I remember correctly I think 626Pilot mentioned something like #4 in one of his posts. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience on the subject?
