Flow/Printing Problems - CubeX and Stock Nozzle

Post by rantzaus »

Hey

I'm trying getting the stock Nozzle for the CubeX to print on Kiss 1.5 Beta 2.22...
So far I only have 2 problems left:

1: 1. Layer is a mess, regardless what the first layer is (Part or an raft..) Picture added below.
2. I get smal holes/blobs at one place on the side when I print. Picture added below.

Settings inside Kiss:
Style:
Layer thickness: 0,2
Extrusion width: 0,5
Skin Thickness: 1
Number of loobs: 3
Infill extrusion width: 0,5

Material:
Main Temp: 200
First layer: 230
M227P: 0,1
M227S: 0,03
M228P: 0,01
M228S: 0,01

Raft setting:
Stride: 1
Thick: 0.25
Width: 0.5

Speed:
Perimeter: 13
Loops: 20
Solid infill: 25
Sparse infill: 25

Hoping someone can help me with this....

Several possibilities :

- Increase your flowtweak in material tab and check with your calliper the thickness to accord with your nozzle 0.5

- Check your extruder motor and if you've a clicking sound, try to increase your extruder voltage.

Hi

The wall is measuring 0.5mm, so the flowtweak seems OK?

No clicking sound from motor...

When I use kiss 1.4.5.10 there is no problem...

The holes/blobs are only at one place along the surface of the wall..

Ok,

Try to increase the perimeter speed, you setup 13 and i think the cubex is unable to manage it. Try something like 20

Is this speed setting usable for a 0.3mm nozzle?
I do not have any problems with the smaller nozzle hence that the speed settings are equal.

I do not confirm, 13mm/s will give you really low rpm speed for the extruder. This can do some error cause the encoder wheel into the extruder have a low resolution.

Usualy the cubex print well between 20 and 35 mm/s

I will test the new perimeter speed tomorrow.

I've a 0.4 nozzle and I print the perimeter with 13mm/s because I need high precision on the corners and I've no problems even with 10mm/s.
The internal loops are printed faster.

For me there's air sucked into the nozzle during the M227&228, the settings are not good for your filament.
try to put
227P = 0.06
227S = 0.02
228P = 0.01
M228S = 0.003
