Hi, I have just found KISSlicer and found it verry capable and it creates verry nice 3D prints but it fails for me with larger models without any messages.
The slice seems to go verry fast but nothing get sliced and if I click on Models+Paths it showes on layer in the air abov the model and it is not possible to change hight on the scroll bar on the right.
Any suggestions?

Hi. What version and OS are you using. How many processor cores/threads and what memory is available?
I just sliced this:
Using 4 extruders, with purge tower, generating a 133MB G-code file.

Re: KISSlicer fails with slicing on bigger models.
I have a small laptop HP Spectre 360 with:
OS = Swedish Windows 10,
CPU = Intel64 Family 6 Model 142 Stepping 9 GenuineIntel ~2511 Mhz,
Cores = 2
Logical processors = 4
Memory = 8 GB
Intel graphic HD grapics
Virtualization is enabled in Bios.
SSD Disk with lot of free space.
It warned about memeory and requesting > 6 GB but said I had 8 GB so I thought it was Ok.
Think I got it all
Edit: I run KISSlicer v1.6.3 Win64

Re: KISSlicer fails with slicing on bigger models.
I can't remember whether 1.63 displays memory usage during the slice. V2 does that (top left of model window).
Any chance you could zip up the model and project (.KSP) file and upload it?

Re: KISSlicer fails with slicing on bigger models.
Here are all the files, I put the model in KS directory.
Have also tried KISSlicer v2 with the same result.
Yes it shows the memory use up in the left corner, about 200 MB as maximum.
Have also tried KS on another laptop I have with AMD CPU, 8GB memory and Gforce graphic, a little bit older and slower
Also downloaded 32bit version just for fun and tried, same result.
Mats
EDIT: I had not created a KSP file so I just zipped all files togeth

Re: KISSlicer fails with slicing on bigger models.
Sorry, I won't open an executable file from an unknown source.
The model slices fine with my profiles, so can you please just upload the project file.
TIA
Peter

Re: KISSlicer fails with slicing on bigger models.
Sorry, should have thought about that, had not used projects befor but now I think I have created one, hopefully it is correctWhen you
EDIT:
After thinking a little bit I realized that I copied and used the same configuratin for all test just because I'm lacy so I created a new directory and started KISSlicer from the begining so to say and recreated all configuration.
After that it slices the part as it should.
Sorry that I did not think about that erlier.
30 years as software engineer and programer and I still don't do testing correct.

Re: KISSlicer fails with slicing on bigger models.
Yup, there's a problem with that profile.
Having Z Step set to 95mm is not really a good idea (Settings/Printer/Hardware/Z Step [mm])
This should be set to the distance moved per (micro)step of the Z axis.
You also should consider increasing the Loop/Solid Infill Overlap on the same tab.

Re: KISSlicer fails with slicing on bigger models.
First of all thanks for the help and sorry I took your time.
Why I did not suspect the configuration from the begining was because my goal was to use the default settings and only change settings I had to, like printer and material and leave everything else.
I suspect I thought I was setting E Step when I changed Z Step because E Step is 95 on my printer.
Loop/Solid Infill Overlap of 0.1 is from the default setting but thanks for the tip as I'm really new to 3D printing
