Delete the ini files into the KS folder.
Copy ALL the ini files that are into the zip file with Cubeitmod605 into KS folder.

This will remove the 2 first Error message.

Open KS go into style tab, move the speed selector to "PRECISE", this will remove the other error message and your file should be processed by Cubeitmod.

Giovanni:

I did as you suggested. The style dial was already on precise. I opened the finetune stl file, set to print on extruder 2 (where I have a chip).

It printed fine.

I reset for extruder 3 (where I have no chip) to test the ability to bypass the cubex cartridge completely. Saved a new finetune bfb file, attempted to print and it gave me all the same errors as before.

I have reinstalled the ini files several time. I have reinstalled kisslicer. Nothing I do changes it. I am getting the same 4 error codes as before with the speed error stated as fatal. It all seems straightforward but I cannot fathom what has caused it to change back. Nothing I do corrects it.

I went back to the finetune bfb file that printed correctly on extruder 2, removed the chip and it still prints fine.

The 2 first messages are from KS, KS warns you if some fields on Printer G-code are empty.
When you changed from extruder 2 to extruder 3 you probably deleted the lines into the G-Code section, that's why you have the message.

The message about the speed is a Cubeitmod message, you probably don't have the same settings for the material used on extruder 2 and 3, check the MAX SPEED on material tab for the material you used for extruder 3.

if you dont find, post ini and bfb files.

post the ini files and bfb

You have lost me! I didn't delete anything, and if it does automatically I don't know how to replace it. I am completely new to G-code and have not done anything in those settings.

As for the extruder settings they are identical.

When I replace the ini files the first time everything worked.

all I did after that was to change to extruder 3, reopen finetune, slice and save. I changed no other settings, and the extruder material settings are identical. Now, if I try to slice and save on extruder 2 I get the error messages. Whatever changed, I don't know how or why.

Giovanni:

I am in Huntsville, Alabama. Do you know anyone here that has a cubex and is using Kisslicer and cubeitmod. Perhaps someone directly observing (and knowledgeable in g-code) could figure out what's going on.

thanks

Really strange, please post ini and bfb files, I need to see them to try to understand what's going on.

6 files attached. Finetune(2) is the one that works. Finetune(4) clearly was not processed. 4 ini files included.

Giovanni:

I think I have figured out what happened. As indicated to you in an earlier post, everything went fine on extruder 2. The problem occurred when I test extruder 3. On reviewing the ini files from the cubeit605 zip files and comparing to files in kisslicer, there were differences. I now realize they occurred because the zip files are for a cubex duo. To do the third extruder I added an ixtruder in kisslicer, changed the name of the printer from Cubex to Cubex trio. When I turn on kisslicer, it writes new ini files.

I went back to the cubex printer configuration with 2 extruders, reloaded the ini files from the zip download and everything works again.

In fact when I opened kisslicer to insert the changes you indicate, they were already there because I was back to the cubex duel extruder configuration.

To go to a third extruder to match my printer can I change the number of extruders in the printer ini file, or is it more complicated than that.

The dialog with you has been a big help.
Thanks

To use the third extruder go into Printer->Hardware tab and set the number of extruders to 3

then go to Ext Map tab and select the material you want to use into the extruder 3 and what you want to print with this extruder ( Object or Interface or Raft or Support )
