Upload to Octoprint

Could we get a direct upload to Octoprint feature?
When trying out Slic3r, it's so convenient to send it directly to there without having to save the gcode to disk first.

Icing on the cake would be to lauch the octoprint website after upload.

That would need to be optional, because I usually keep the Octoprint page always open, so I wouldn't want to open a new instance every time.

Is there a way to do this as a post-process (like calling a Python or Lua script or something)? I have been thinking about keeping a list of post-processing options, instead of just the single line.

even better would be a octoprint plugin so we can just import our hard figured settings and just throw the stl at octoprint
