Have the wizards been corrected since version 2?

Post by jesito »

Hi,
This is not really a new bug, but just a question on a previous version bug.

Is related to this thread:

viewtopic.php?p=8674#p8674

where the preload wizard was reported as failing.

The question here is if it has been fixed in the V22.11 version, or if we have to still resource to version 1.6 for it.

Thanks!.

Jes.

I believe that the wizards are not working as intended. However, Preload will only be effective at the start and end of paths only.

If your printer firmware supports Linear Advance, then it is better to use that instead as (in theory) it should also be effective on any acceleration/deceleration (e.g. corners) and may produce a better finish.

You can make use of the <MATL> token in the Material G-code to make use of different LA values for filaments (Select New Extruder and Warm):

M900 K<MATL>

Thanks Peter, and yes, my firmware supports linear advance, (although I have not used it yet).
Time to try it...
