Terrible seams

Post by Miatpi »

Hi, I've got some pretty bad prints; they're a little hairy but worser is that the seams are horrible at some places.
I've played around with the M227/M228 settings but with no luck. Please help. :)

Here is my settings and my https://www.dropbox.com/s/iryyg44smgau4 ... 1.stl?dl=0.
I've only printed a few layers since it was wrong from the start, but the bad seams were on those antenns (the lying, very thin objects).

Hi,

It will be better if you post the print result to see the problem ;-)

I would try something like this with ABS :

M227P : 0.08
M227S : 0.15

M228P : 0.0001
M228S : 1.4

Otherthing to do, play with the depth and gap setup in the Style tab. If you see a bump try to increase the gap, if you see hole decrease the gap.

You can orient the seem in the Style tab / Angle

I tried the settings, and for some reason the plastic smeared out, as if to much plastic flowed out.

So Decrease the M227 P like you did previously: 0.03

M227P push filament before starting a layer and retract the value between "zone"
M227S is the speed

M228P is an additional filament push between "zone"
M228S is an other speed

Be careful, it's my interpretation...

But i get good result with PLA, see my last print you see the seam but it's ok for me.
