I think we all would wish that. As much as i would like, i must confess that a slicer is a mainly to produce hard output and for me the result in plastic counts more than the visual representation. Having a few more options as have been requested by many, is more worth than a nice display on screen which can mean a lot of work involved .
I agree

Been mentioned elsewhere, but just to get it mentioned in the right place.

Can KS print the skirt *before* the support base.

that is something very important. Skirt should ensure proper flow and give a chance to adjust( babystep ) . Therefore it MUST be the first thing to print.

And if it's not the first thing to print it makes no sense whatsoever unless it's a brim :)

That actually makes me doubt the usefulness of a separate skirt around each part… Maybe also something to address. Not sure about the priority, tho.

Just to repeat what I have said before, personally I just don't see the need or requirement for a skirt. I simply print a sufficient purge line at the front of the bed which primes the nozzle before printing the part. This purge line is a fixed length - unlike a skirt, which can be very short and insufficient for the job.

However, I was under the impression that this skirt fault had been fixed. Can someone please provide model(s) and project file showing this with 2.0.9.9.

Thanks in advance

Peter

Why not have purge line or 1 layer prime tower as a KISSlicer option to prime the nozzle or is this already an option? When I change nozzles and layer heights it would be nice to have these built in to the slicer instead of me having to design it into the stl or creating gcode from an stl to copy-paste into the start code. It's a minor thing, but a distraction nonetheless.

I took a random model, sliced it with skirt and support and in KISS it definitely does support first and then skirt.

As for the purge line, it's a bit more of a hassle on delta and it would be cool if the stuff like preload/destring affected this prime thing…

When is Jonathan going to allow separate speed and style settings for different layers?

I need to print the text on top of parts much slower than the part itself and Kisslicer doesn't currently offer the option to do this... which is the primary reason I lean so heavily on simplify3d on these type of print jobs.

Hi just wondering, and I'm very glad to see alot of the features I need are being implemented. I'm inquiring to see if there is another page that shows which of these features are either:
1. Implemented already,
2. Being implemented (with or without ETA)
3. Unknown (no ETA)
for example for me it would be support only from bed/build platform
as that would be great since I don't see something of the sort on the webpage (if I did miss it please do let me know). Thank you very much!
