One thing I'd love to see in 2.0 alpha is mac build ;-)

But… Is it time to report bugs yet and what features are considered at least half-baked? Because purge octagon looks so odd, that I suspect it's not even ready for trying?

Sorry to disagree ;) It's actually quite good...

But you do need some manual G-code for tool changes.

Looks great, Peter, I got this —

And it's not just display, it's also the generated gcode (there are also problems with displaying paths, where travel moves are shown like print moves, which I confirmed doesn't seem to affect g-code). I must be doing something wrong… G-code for tool change is no problem, I mastered that and even wrote a postprocessor akin to yours, worked great, wanted to cleanup the code and opensource it, but then the news of 2.0 came. Not that I abandon my plans to release it (still useful for other slicers), but will definitely postpone due to the lack of time.

That model is not really ideal for this type of print; better to simply change the filament at the desired heights.

Do you have the STL available? I will slice it to see what happens in my alpha version (Jonathan may have changed something somewhere).

And I don't need that model to be printed either ;-), I just loaded something for testing. I've had it around for ages in my download directory, but I believe it's from here — https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:21773/files

OK, so I didn't wait (sorry), I downloaded the latest pre-alpha, changed the extruder map of a test model and came up with this:

Looks OK, so can you save your project files and let me have a look

TIA

Peter

EDIT: there's also a difference in the purge tower first layer...

Thank you, Peter, here is the .ksp, .gcode and .stls. Beside the possibility of doing something I see the difference in license — I have PRO and I didn't buy a new pro, that's the one I've had from the earlier release, no idea if it matters, while you have PREMIUM. And I use mac.
