Hello,

I would like to pause a long print so the heaters/steppers are not running over night

Idealy move a distance away from work piece so it dosent melt into it
turn off heaters & steppers
and then reverse the above steps & resume print when they are back to opperating temperature

Thanks,
Nishan

This is an issue about your printer FW, not of the slicer.
You could do it with klipper for example

It depends on what you need to do.

If you wish to pause printing at some arbitrary point by pressing buttons on your printer, then that is the printer's job.

However, if you wish to program a pause into the G-code, then you can do this within KISSlicer. But remember, it's not a good idea to turn off the heated bed during a pause, and that it's the bed heater which consumes the vast majority of the power used. It would definitely be a good idea to at least reduce the nozzle temp during a pause.

Thanks for your replys,

It might be easier to just configure the marlin power off resume feature as suggestedd and unplug. With the build tack like surface (cctree) I have once its stuck its quit difficult to remove even when cold on large 250mm square prints using a scraper / hammer. I seen where the kissslicer has a g-code tab for what to do when paused, I though somone probably has already done something similar. Some things just cant be printed in under 16 hours and its not worth the risk of letting it run unattended.
