Flow Error in PJ-Con mode

Post by boggieman71 »

I have an unmodified CubeX single jet printer that keeps giving flow errors in PJ mode. The print jet board sensor appears to be installed correctly and the metallic stickers on the back of the driver/idler pulleys are in place as well. I am using Dremel white PLA filament. I am not having any extrusion occur at 190 C and have to turn the temperature up to 230 C to get flow. Additionally, at that temperature I can't get my RPMs past 1.6 without it skipping/clicking.

I theorize my extruder is not getting hot enough or gear misalignment in the motor. I have taken the assembly apart numerous times and cleaned each end with the usual guitar string and paperclip. How do I know I do or do not have a gear misalignment? Also, is there a max speed/temperature relationship in PJ mode?

Any help is appreciated.

Follow up: I just read the post about which Cubit mod to run with which voltage setting. I was using 6.05, but now changed it to 4.91. Either way should not account for the way my PJ mode is working.
