/So I upgraded to V6.05 got what I thought were good settings as Finetune 2 came out pretty good however when I print anything large It just builds up on print head with nothing on print bed. I thought It might have been a Z setting however I have set it twice now. I also did switch to a new filament could it be temperature issue

What filament are you using ? do you have an heated bed ? what do you put on bed to improve adhesion ?

PLA, No heated bed, I use blue tape it has worked well for a long time. I have first layer set to 215 then 195 after that.

Try hair spray directly on bed, I never had good results with blue tape and PLA, if you're in Europe you can find the 3Dlac it's very strong and very good for PLA.

Recently I've obtained a CubePro Duo. I couldn't find a Kisslicer profile for this printer, so I bought Simplify3D and I'm using Codex to encrypt my bfb file to the CubePro Duo (and flashed the firmware so I can use bulk filament). Simplify3D and the Codex software can also be used with the Cubex, giving nice results. Not sure about Kisslicer and Codex.

Tomorrow I'm handing over the Cubex to a friend and I'm now preparing Kisslicer for him. The problem is that Windows 10 is saying that Cubitmode605.exe is a virus (and also the zip file that I've just downloaded from this thread). I've noticed that before on my own computer, but I've somehow managed to tell Windows to beleive me that cubitmod605.exe isn't a virus and that worked.

What is wrong with the cubitmod605.exe or is this a false positive.

Perhaps I can try to use Codex64.exe instead

This will become even more common in the future with the additional "security" updates and features included in Windows 10.

Unfortunately, an program has to be in relatively common worldwide use to acquire a "not-a-virus" status with M$. Or the developer has to shell out loads (relatively speaking) of money to have his software "certificated". Any not many occasional developers can do this.

The problem is that if you want to use these programs, you need to be certain that no virus exists, so I would suggest that you start with an on-line AV check of the program to satisfy yourself.

Maybe https://www.virustotal.com/ with more info about this site here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VirusTotal

Thanks for your reply.

Results from www.virustotal.com:

What: Download link from Giovanni to Cubitmod, from the first post in this thread
URL: download/file.php?id=683
Result: Avira and Trustwave reported Malware, others reported clean

What: Tried to download the zip file from the above link (Chrome on Mac OSx):
URL: download/file.php?id=683
Result: Chrome says: "This file is dangerous, so Chrome has blocked it."

What: The same zip file downloaded fine yesterday, so I've scaned it
File: CubeitModeV6.05.zip
Result: 30/62 threats (various types)

What: extracted file from a previous downloaded version of this zip
File: CubeitMode605.exe
Result: 40/60 threads (various type)

What: a previous version
File: CubitMod491.exe
Result: 6/67 threats (various types)

It looks like there is some suspicious hook in the code, that current Virsusscanners label as dangerous. But I've got no proof that the files and links are save. So I think I'm on a dead end here and I'm not risking this.

In the mean time, I'v tested Simplify3D and Codex and this works very good. I think I will leave Kisslicer and Cubitmod.
