You have preload turned on. That's the depressurise at the end of the path.

At the start of the path, the opposite occurs.

It's the nozzle bore (or throat) length you need, which for many E3D nozzles is 1.5 times the nozzle diameter (so length = 0.6mm for a 0.4mm nozzle)

Peter

EDIT: Just had a look at the nozzle drawing; it may have the same thread and overall length as an E3D, but its internal geometry is quite different :( It appears that the only drawing available shows a 3mm nozzle.

Thanks man i go for 0.6 now.

You can be proud of this piece of software! Its not a "beautiful toy" like other. It is a very efficient tool. I love it, it loves me :D

This week i tried to discover the tuning wizards. What a great idea! Are the stls you made them for available? just found the one for temps.
Destringing is an easy draw. But i cant understand the explaination for the preload for example.

I know this is a little stale- attached is the 4 pillar destring that I think lonesock produced at one point.

Preload is not immediately intutive. There are a couple of discussions here and on sublimelayers.com blog posts and youtube videos.

What printer are you trying to tune to? It is really more for bowden machines.
If you have a direct drive extruder, it may not make much difference. We might be able to give you a sense of the range to expect for your hardware.

Same model as temp and flow tuning but with 20% rounded infill. You are looking for the point where the internal stringing stops. Look at the nozzle travel paths to narrow down where to look.

Its a hard thing to cleanly photograph unfortunately.

I run 2 trials- one from say 0-3 and then one near the range from my first iteration results, say 1.8-2.3 if the number is somewhere around 2. iir, it varies the numbers by 10 steps over the 25mm height.
