Zits prior to direction change

Post by rkv34 »

I can't figure out what's causing these zits prior to a direction change. Thought it could be something related to acceleration/deceleration settings but that's a guess at best. I'm printing with eSun PLA+ and have tried it over various temperatures with the same result. Also varied my retraction and z-lift settings but the zits remain.

Printing on an ultibots d300vs+ with a Titan Aero extruder setup. The attached images show the location of the zits and the path the extruder is travelling is from left to right.

Very strange... Curious. Hope somebody can help you.

What perimeter speed was that at? Preload value? Are you using pressure advance in RRF? (I’m only using pressure advance and no preload).

I don't think I'm using pressure advance in RRF unless that's on by default. Some settings below:

; Perimeter Speed = 34.20
; Loops Speed = 50.00
; Solid Speed = 50.00
; Sparse Speed = 50.00

; flow_min_mm3_per_s = 0.1
; flow_max_mm3_per_s = 10
; flow_cool_mm3_per_s = 1
; destring_length = 1
; preload_factor = 0
; matl_viscosity_over_elasticity_us = 0.75
; destring_min_mm = 2.5
; destring_trigger_mm = 10
; preload_speed_mm_per_s = 25
; destring_speed_mm_per_s = 31.25
; Z_lift_mm = 0.05
; min_layer_time_s = 10
; wipe_mm = 0
; cost_per_cm3 = 0.04
; flowrate_tweak = 1
; fiber_dia_mm = 1.75
; shrink_percent_xy = 0
; shrink_percent_z = 0
; color = 0

I tried a print before I went to work today with a slower speed but it was on a different model. It did seem to decrease the size/visibility of the zit but it was still there.
