I'm a new user on a Rostock Max v3 running the 1.6 beta.
Frequently the extruder lifts up a few cm and pauses for 1-3 seconds in between layers. It doesn't happen in between every layer, and it does not seem to happen between solid top or bottom layers, only layers with generated infill.
There are no settings which would obviously affect this... any ideas?

Re: Pausing in between layers
Material tab, min layer [s] setting.
This is the minimum layer time required to allow the material to cool. PLA can be set to just a few seconds, ABS needs 15 to 20 seconds.
The printer will slow down until the minimum flow value and then will start these pauses.

Ah, that has to be it! I've been used to a slicer slowing its speed to maintain a certain layer time.
Thank you!
