Generating Rough Edges

Post by MackMoulton »

First post on this forum. I've been using KISS for several months now and have been getting killer prints, but I've ran into a problem. When slicing some models I get really rough edges (see images). I know its not an issue with the model because Cura does not produce rough/jagged edges. The settings are the same for each slicer (2 shells, 0.35 extrusion width) the biggest difference between the settings is that I have crown enabled in KISS (1 mm), but I've already messed with that with no luck. Any input would be helpful! I think KISS is far superior to Cura, but I've run into this problem with several models. Thanks in advance. Also, I'm not too concerned about capturing all the details of the model so if each layer doesn't extend to the edge of the model, that's okay.

It would be really helpful if you could attach both the model and the project file, so we could have a better look at what's happening.

Thanks
